day 34 35 of the 65 day Journey

Thank you Cheryl!
http://theprairiemaid.blogspot.com/ for hosting this wonderful journey

Today I am also going to do the Simple Woman's Daybook http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/    found by Bethe over here at http://lifesbeautynuggets.blogspot.com please stop by and show her some love

With so much going on in my life this is simple for me to do right now as I am not thinking straight.

______________________________

FOR TODAY
I am just wishing that life would quit throwing such curve balls at me, but keeping strong I know that God never puts more on our plate than we can handle

Outside my window...
I see trees and leaves of many shapes and colors as well as my beautiful cacti garden

I am thinking...
That nice warm weather would be much appreciated right now

I am thankful...
For the salvation of my Heavenly Father,  And that my great nephew isn't going to have to have surgery
thank you JESUS

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)
We all learn things all the time I am appreciative to those who are willing to teach me things

In the kitchen...
I have multiple plants, lots of mm's figurines

I am wearing...
Blue Jeans & a sweater socks and tennis

I am creating...
a crocheted afaghan made out of camouflage yarn

I am going...
to get most of my chores done tonight so that I not have to worry with them tomorrow, so can spend time with my kids (the 4 legged ones)

I am wondering...
why it is that people seem to always stick their nose where it doesn't belong

I am reading...
several books on my E-Reader American Creation by Joseph Ellis is a great book

I am hoping...
That life gets back to normal as soon as possible, and that things between Bob and I can be normal again

I am looking forward to...
Spending Christmas with my family

I am hearing...
The dogs barking, coyotes running, and Christmas at Rockefeller Center

Around the house...
I have my Christmas decorations out waiting to be put up, but with more
furniture in the living room this year I can't find that perfect spot for my tree
I am pondering...
calling people upon the phone and just asking them WHY? and what have I ever done to you

One of my favorite things...
is giving others less fortunate made gifts
A few plans for the rest of the week:
getting my Christmas tree put up, helping my mom put up her outside Christmas lights,
trying to get life back on track
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
(add your picture here)
This is another beautiful fall sunset that we have here in Oklahoma

Matthew 18:1-4
1) At that time the disciples came to Jesus; saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
2) And calling him to a child, he put him in the midst of them 3) and said, "Truly, I say to you,
unless you turn and become like children, you
will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4) Whoever, humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

Psalm 46:1 (KJV” God is our refuge and strength, a
very present help in trouble “.

Shawn over at http://coloradobeckers.blogspot.com/ is doing a 30 days to Be Thankful
Wow today is the 30th day how does time fly.
Today I am thankful for my dogs and kitty they have such unconditional love for their mommy
there is never a time when I see them that their tails are not wagging oh mommy is here, and kitty is thankful in his own way...we all know how kitties can be.

365 days of pictures day 146 caz

Caz loves his mommy cant you tell it?
this is his sitting spot lol.  and boy does he love giving kitty hugs

Caz really likes Bob also.  It is funny caz and pepper fight over who lays the closest to their mommy...so pepper is laying so close to me you couldn't budge her if you tried.  So caz is like I am going to win, and sit on moms lap. Bob says he is the king of his castle caz that is.

We got so much excitement going on it is so unreal :) and one day (EVERYBODY else will know what it is also) lets just say in the very near future there is going to be a lot of changes going on.  hmmm Do I hear wedding bells down the road? Some of you already know those plans.  Lets see how many of you truly read the blogs and can remember those plans?

Hope everybody is doing well and that your Wednesday is super great!  Life is getting better day to day.

Blessings

I am a proud member

I am a proud member of  http://www.soldiersangels.org  if you haven't visited this site you are truly missing out.

I just had my 2 yr anniversary on the letter writing team (pats myself on the back)  I write 9 letters per week, you even can adopt a special soldier to write and send care packages to on a monthly basis, more if you feel you want to do more.

They are over in "Hell" fighting for our continued freedom, loved ones at home always wondering when the phone rings, or when they see an unknown car pulling into the drive.  Everybody likes receiving mail don't we?  I have gotten some very good penpals as well.  Remember though if you write you may not get a response as most are out "17 hrs per day" sometimes longer.

You would be truly amazed at the simple things we take for granted on a daily basis, while our troops are begging for them..IE kleenex, paper, pens, pencils and now hot chocolate.  What I did on my adopted soldier is dropped that coke every day and use it so send their care packages.

Hope you all will at least stop by and if you are compelled to do something nice then you can join in too.

Hope everybody is having a great Hump day

what is happiness

Happiness is the most wonderful feeling in the world beside the feeling of being in love.
When you are happy most around your are happy...remember the saying "if you smile, the world smiles with you?"

HAPPINESS
H  heaven...we will all be happy there
A  angelic...we will fly with our angels wings
P  pretty as we are all sure Heaven will be
P  pearly gates I can't wait to see
I  in our Father's arms
N nestled in his loving care
E  eternity with our Lord
S  satan can't bother us there
S  singing with the angels

LOVE
L  loyal to the end
O  offering love to each other
V  the Victory is mine!
E.  endless love

CARING
C Christ like
A  adoring
R  re-assuring
I   irresistible
N  nice
G  Gina  (after all I am loving and caring)

SHARING
S  sensitive
H  honest
A  assuring
R  reverent
I    instinctive
N  nifty
G  God Fearing

Everybody who knows me, knows that I am a full spirit and that I live life to the fullest.
I am one of the most caring persons in the world.  I get my feelings hurt very easily (ie a bird
flew into my windshield today on the way to my parents,...he had sudden death..I started crying)
I follow my heart and almost always know when things are not right.  I have picked up the phone so
many times calling just to say are you ok..no person in particular.

My gut feeling is almost always right, as well as what  I feel (ask people around me if
you want to know that is the truth)
One thing I hate are liars, thieves and trouble makers (but I do know that is not for me to judge)
however if I cross these people in path's I do not hold those things against them, I am still their friend
I try to give everybody the fair treatment and finding good in them all.

Ask my long term friend (Vicki) on this one..she will tell you even as a youngster
I was the one who always tried to keep peace in our circle of friends.

Hope everybody is doing great.
Blessings

day 32 of the 65 day journey

Ok so I missed day 20-32of the journey.  Life took a turn and I could not face the internet, I basically wanted to find an hole and go crawl in it and hide.

However those that know me know that I am a fighter not a quitter.
First of all, let me say I am very Thankful for this time of year I have 2 living parents that are both in good health.  That alone is enough in my eyes to be thankful for.  I am thankful for Bob and his love.
I had some excitement over Thanksgiving....
First of all my niece who is pregnant...her BF asked her to marry him...she said yes..
my baby great nephew (1 1/2) got burned 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his arm, legs and foot. We find out Wed this week if he has to have skin graffs...please pray for him (justin)
And to top it off on Friday, I had a YUCK tick on my back that is a deer tick, and are prone to carry lyme disease so off to the dr  I go as it looks like a spider bite icky!!!  Dr puts me on 14 day antibiotic to prevent me from getting that...but have to keep said tick frozen for 1 month as symptoms can show up after a month.  (keep me in your prayers too)
Bob is also needing some prayers (unspoken) but seems that "other" people can't leave us alone and let us be happy (you all know who you are) (don't get me onto that subject) .  Let's just say I have never cried so much in all of my life.
I am stronger than what is going on in my life and I will overcome the roadblocks in front of me.
Psalm 121:5-6  5)The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.  6)The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

When I sat down to do this blog tonight I had no idea of the daily bible verse, but seems to be right on the nose.  I know that GOD is the healer of all things and will not let us down.  He brought us together for a reason and that reason is for us to love each other.

If you want to talk you can email me...I will give you the rundown, as I can't say a lot on the blog now as some people stick their noses where it doesn't belong.  tigertamer67@gmail.com
OK I am finished venting .

Shawn over at http://coloradobeckers.blogspot.com/ is hosting a 30 day of Thankfulness you should stop by and join the fun
Day 28  I am thankful for my health, and Bob and I's love (no matter what we will get over these roadblocks) I love you honey with all of my heart and soul

365 days of pictures day 142 best friends

111211163903.jpgThis is my best friend from childhood in fact 1970 wow is that a long time?  we have always called on birthday's, Christmas...but the last few years we have lost touch although we are only 5 miles apart...Life really gets in the way sometimes.

We have reconnected recently and have promised "to keep in touch" wow in the 2 weeks we have reconnected we text everyday, and even a couple phone calls just to say "how you doing"
Her husband is a total GOOF but after 17+ yrs of marriage you can still see the love in their eyes.

I can't wait for them to meet Bob.
They have a houseboat on the lake (it doesn't run) but was very nice just sitting and moving with the water.  I went to see them on Sat while my parents were at my brothers (which happens to be within walking distance)  :)

Bob and I are doing wonderful...We will be together again in the near future.

day 16-19 of our 65 day journey

OK I am so far  behind it is not even funny :(  I am going to combine a couple into today's blog
I am doing my blog on Thankfulness today...after all it is the time of the year.
I am so thankful for my parents, Bob's love for me, my family, my friends.

Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

This is a very nice devotional that I am going to use only for the sake of my blog...the words are not mine.

CBN.com – We are coming upon the holiday season and Thanksgiving is a time where we again reflect on what we have to be grateful for. Prayers are said, thankfulness is expressed and we celebrate God’s blessings once again on Thanksgiving Day. On this day it is relatively easy to conjure up these warm feelings in our heart. Isn’t that the whole point of the day? I mean, it isn’t all about the turkey and pumpkin pie?
As this season approaches, I am reminded that we are to recognize the blessings in our life each day. Thankfulness is not a once a year novelty. It’s not to be put on once a year like our reindeer holiday sweater! I believe we need to daily cultivate a heart of thanksgiving. Scripture tells us, “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus” (1 Thess. 5:16-18).We are to give thanks in all things, not some things, not the great and wonderful things, but in everything.
Does that mean I am thankful if my car gets totaled? Well, I can be thankful that I wasn’t hurt. What about the really tough things in life like losing a job, a home, or the death of a loved one? Ouch! Thankfulness? Seriously? Oh I know we can say the right, “spiritual” thing in such circumstances. It’s harder to have a thankful heart in the circumstance. God isn’t saying to be thankful that something awful has happened. He knows we are human, we get hurt, we lose hope, and suffer grief. No, rather he wants us to give thanks in the face of it.
I was told at 20 weeks pregnant that my child had a syndrome that was rare and incompatible with life. They were uncertain if she would even survive the delivery. The second half of my pregnancy was filled with moments of fear, worry, prayer, and hope. Through a difficult and complicated delivery my daughter was born with breath in her lungs. Her father and I, along with those most precious to us, were able to love on her in the little time her lungs sustained her.
Losing a child at any age is an unbearable burden, an indescribable despair. My sorrow was long and deep. In the midst of my sorrow I found myself doing a peculiar thing. I was thankful. I was thankful Caitlin was born alive and that I could spend a few precious moments with her. I was thankful that the nurses that were taking care of us felt God’s presence in our room. Although they didn’t understand it, they expressed what peace and love they experienced around us, that we were “different” somehow. I am thankful that God was glorified in the midst of our sorrow. If only for a day, I was thankful for the time God gave me with my little one before she went to Jesus. In the face of my pain, I was able to give thanks.
Perhaps this past year you are one of the millions who have lost their job, maybe your house is in foreclosure, perhaps you have lost one dear to your heart. This may be a season of grief and loss for you, but please know that you have a hope that does not disappoint. For you have a Father who understands you. He comforts the brokenhearted. He promises to never leave you or forsake you. His love is extravagant toward you. His love never fails. Your sadness may last for a time, but joy will come, “But Joy comes in the morning, You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing” (Psalm 30:5). Oh what we have to be thankful for. Such a great God! Such a great love!
Can God change your life?
God has made it possible for you to know Him and experience an amazing change in your own life. Discover how you can find peace with God. You can also send us your prayer requests

day15 of our 65 day journey (breast cancer awareness)

Today was "Squish the boobies day" it had been 12 yrs since I had that done...yes I said that right.  My primary care Dr. told me I didn't need until I was 45, now I have a new Dr. he felt best to go ahead and schedule it.  For the most part it was "ok" it got uncomfortable when they did the left one as that is where I was hurting.....I could really tell the "pressure" was there.

The x-ray technician that I had was so nice and concerned when I told her about the tenderness (from the nerve) she told me I am not going to try to hurt you at all...I will do what I can.  I also found out that her birthday is 5 days after mine, she is Kiowa, Chickasaw, and Creek, Indian very pretty.  But she also told me she is Irish as well...I asked her do you have the IRISH TEMPER? her reply was...well I am gemini and Irish what do you think?  She had me laughing so hard by time I got out of there.  Her name was Kelly...I will always ask for her for now on.

Getting my mammogram was on my list of stuff to get done during this 65 day journey..I got it done...:)

365 days of pictures day 140 (HANDSOME)

I know that I used this pic for my Veteran tribute, but felt very compelled to use it for my daily pic
I can't believe how young Bob was (I Can't even say that I was a twinkle in my daddy's eyes) (smiling<<<in a good way

Bob was only 19 yrs old when this picture was taken, 1966  He left a boy and came back a man...as I have heard from veterans from both the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts.  Bob tells me he is an angel....I can tell by the way he looked in the pic...he probably had to beat the women off with a broom stick....and I know his horns were holding the cap on....(JK)
little did we know that 44 years later we would be meeting in a romantic way the first year we were cordial to each other then after knowing/chatting with each other for almost a year, we finally got to know each other better the 2nd year.  Funny we both swear up and down that we were in love with each other really before we began talking seriously. .
YES I believe in Fate!!! Let's just say Bob kept it cool as he kept telling me "I THINK YOU HAVE A FULL PLATE" boy was he ever right.  The night we began talking..he is like Gina are you ok..and I had a break down almost to a perfect stranger...and told him I had been better and thanks for listening to me.
Bob, told me anytime I am always here for you!! so finally I got the guts up and asked him for his phone number and the REST IS HISTORY!!!
hope everybody's weekend is full of many blessings

Fingerprint Friday

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back here so others can find the entire list of participants!
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky below. Have fun exploring the other links as well!
Please only sign in if you're participating. Hopefully this will make us look at things through fresh eyes throughout the week!

1 Kings 19:11
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

Day 13 14 of our 65 Day Journey Happy Veteran's Day

I am doing my day 13, 14 of our journey to honor our veterans, what a perfect day to do this.  Plus as the saying goes "killing 2 birds with one stone"  11-11-11
Galatians 5:1  It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery

Freedom isn't free and never has been, Jesus died for our freedom.  There has always been a very high price for our freedom, but American's have always paid that price.

Happy Veterans Day to all of you past, present and future
Please watch the following video, but better get your kleenex out
I SALUTE YOU  <<<<CLICK HERE TO WATCH

This is my Dad in Korea 1953 Doesn't he look handsome?  he was in the Army Thank you Dad for the sacrifice that you made, I couldn't even imagine being 18 and in that hell hole

OMG Doesn't Bob look handsome in his dress uniform?  Thank you Bob for your sacrifice during the Vietnam Era   Bob is the most down to earth person I have ever met, I am so thankful for him coming into my life.  I thank God for him everyday.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all.
