They Say It's Your Birthday Hodgepodge

1. When did you last sing happy birthday to someone? When were you last sung to? Does that embarrass you or do you enjoy being the center of attention on your special day?
The last time I sang happy birthday was in August,  I have lot(s) of family bdays this month, we all get together for bday month.  The last time somebody sang happy birthday to me was this past may and no it doesn't embarrass me ;) its my special day so no need to be embarrassed.

2. Name a famous or 'infamous' person who shares your birth month and day. Is that someone you'd like to meet in person if it were possible?
Naomi Campbell as she is the only one who I know as a model May 22 most were born n died in way early years...and yes it would be cool to meet her

3. Someone hands you a box tied up in a lovely bow...what are you hoping to find inside?
                   Jewelry, Candy, gift certificates

4. What is something you can guarantee about yourself?
that I am not selfish nor a liar
5. Talking about art and beautiful cities here...'The Last Supper' in the Santa Maria della Grazie Abbey in Milan, Italy or 'The Mona Lisa' in the Louvre, Paris...which would you most like to see up close and in person?  Why?
The last supper because I think that would be like actually being at the "last supper"
6. Your favorite dessert?
german chocolate cake
7. This coming weekend marks the official start of autumn (in the northern hemisphere)...what is something you do to get ready for fall?  What is one thing you're looking forward to on your fall calendar?  Spring or fall-which do you prefer?
I usually do not decorate for fall other than changing my candles to the fall scents and going with the fall color in dish soap ;) I love fall (we have the most beautiful sunsets here in OK in the fall and the colors are amazing) but love the smells of spring as well....had to say for me which is may fav.
8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Don't you just hate it when outsiders text you....out of blue and tell you that you are self centered, selfish, and a control freak.....hmmmmm I have always been told by everybody how compassionate, and that my heart is full of gold and very soft, and my love is for animals and nature  (if you love animals what I have heard you are usually a decent and kind human being)  but this coming  from an alcoholic guess he/she is right...after all alcoholics know everything.....

A Honey of a Hodgepodge

If you have never joined the hodgepodge you are really missing out.  http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/2013/09/a-honey-of-hodgepodge.html

A Honey of a Hodgepodge

1. What's something you're never too young or too old to enjoy?
eating watermelon, running thru water puddles, catching snowflakes on our tongues, catching lightening bugs n putting in a jar,  wow there is lots of things, this list could get long

2. Share one happy memory from your high school years.
Going to church camp, getting saved, finding my first boy-friend, (oh wait you said only one) these all happened while at church camp, singing Praises. OK I STOP HERE!!! LOL

3. A nationwide strike of fast food employees took place in the US last week...they're calling for higher wages and the right to unionize.  Your thoughts?
Fast food? is just that a place to work, not a career.  Most fast food employees earn more than the national $7.75 minimum wage.  AND UNION? really?  do they fully understand the union? they aren't all they are cracked up to be ...I have known of companies who willingly fire employees who wish to bring in the union.

4. September is National Honey Month...what's a favorite dish you make or eat that calls for honey?
I love eating honey on chicken bites from the local hamburger joint (they sale rex's chicken)

5. If you notice someone with a tag sticking out, a button unbuttoned, a shirt inside-out, or some leftover lunch between their teeth,  do you say something or do you keep quiet?
well, I would say excuse me but did your realize?  your shirt is inside out? and the teeth well I would have to know you, to do that..

6. What's a movie that always makes you cry? Or at least makes you feel like crying?
Where the Red Fern Grows is a 1961 novel by Wilson Rawls about a boy who buys and trains two Redbone Coonhound hunting dogs

7. Mary Had a Little Lamb was written in 1830, and published in Juvenile Miscellany in September of that same year. Now for the fun part...create your own four line rhyme using that same tune.  well since I used to raise sheep (REALLY)
Maryanne had a little lamb little lamb little lamb
Maryanne had a little lamb we called her sugar,
her twin brother was named spice, oh how they
loved to follow rocky the beagle around
(I TRIED TO MAKE A RHYME< this was hard :(

8. Insert your own random thought here.
Be kind to your neighbor, as you never know when you may need their help.
Always tell the one you love  (I Love you) and let him/her know
NEVER go to bed angry.
we never know what tomorrow will bring, so always try to be the best today that you can be.
