Friendly Fill-Ins week 73

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. The first two fill-ins are always provided by Ellen. The final two statements are offered by myself. You are welcome to answer in the comments, but if you link up, even more people can share!

Wow what a week we had here, record high temperatures, sure does't seem like
fall, got almost 2 " of rain *unheard of in Sept* the trees are starting to get a little
twinge of color.  Had good wind to hang out the linens on the clothes line (I love my
sheets dried on the line they always smell so clean and crisp)

Willie *the goat* has decided that things outside to eat aren't so bad after all, he is
starting to venture into the yard more trying little bites of everything.   He, will be
6 months on the 1st weighs in about 20 -25 lbs but dont tell him he is a goat, as
he thinks he is a little lap dog.

Okay, here we go…these are my completed fill-ins for this week:

1. I am far too nice of a person to say no, but sometimes NO is nice to say.  I hate the fact that I have a soft caring heart that people take advantage of it.

2. To save money, we eat at home as much as possible *usually only eat out 1 or 2 times a month, I use coupons, my rebates, and love the rewards program. At o'reiley I got
free oil and oil filter (everybody loves a free oil change)  2 months ago I got free
windshield wipers.  Walgreens I had $50 to spend as cash what a surprise

3. Friends matter.  We all have that one beautiful friend that would do anything in the world for, we found a couple who is that way to us, not friends they are family.  Seems when you have a couple friend they don't like your spouse of vice versa, however Joe and Frog are just the opposite we love them both as they do us.   We were the only ones who went and saw them in the hospital after their almost fatal motorcycle wreck.

4. Watching Summer fade into Autumn makes me think of how life changes without a moments notice, always tell loved ones that you love them because tomorrow is not promised.   Today is history and we cant take back things done.

Look into the rearview mirror to say good bye to the past, and thru the windshield to say hello to the future.

Happy Caturday

I am linking up with Deb here at http://www.jeremiah-2911.com/

I have definitely had a week, tried to keep up on my blogs *key word tried*
I will get to my comments as soon as  I can, my internet is acting wacky and
lucky if I get to post my pics today

I just love old barns and
vacant home  I used to know
the people that lived here

Thought the Garden spider
would make a cool b/w
what do you think?

 This old wagon wheel was
given to me from my late dad
it sits proudly by the sidewalk
This is a very old tractor wheel
also given to me by my dad
*he had flowers planted in it*
next year there will be beautiful
flowers in it
This is an unfinished koi pond
we are going to fill it in
but love the giant rocks
That elm tree in the background
is close to 50 yrs old
We proudly fly Ole Glory
We stand for the flag
salute and kneel at the cross
This lantern is a 1942 model, found it at a
flea market for $4.00 so I had to have it
eventually it will be incorporated with the
wagon wheel and tractor wheel
and last but not least, my main squeeze
he is doing so good being in remission
from Cancer since June.
God, is awesome

Blues Society of Tulsa
8 hrs
Okay, here's the lowdown on Saturday, September 30th, 8 p.m. at SOUL CITY, Tulsa, USA. Co-owner AMY ADDINGTON SMITH prepares absolutely the best Chicken Salad Sandwich this side of heaven the Blues Society's BILLY AUSTIN has ever devoured. Also, co-owner KEVIN SMITH's technical genius assures impeccable sound for our Solo/Due Blues Challenge. Additionally, the weather is going to be absolutely perfect for our 4 challenge artists to perform on the venues' wonderful, asthetical patio. And, there will be like-minded music lovers there appreciating the performances.
They say you've had to live the blues to really play it. Well, our 3rd performing artist of evening is proof. If you didn't catch him playing after a recent Blues Society meeting, then here's your chance - GARY ALEXANDER.

Adventuring into the Hodgepodge

Welcome to our end of September Hodgepodge. So glad you've landed here today!
If you've answered this week's questions add your link at the end of my post.
And before you run off say hi to your neighbor on the linky list because being
neighborly is what it's all about.
From this Side of the Pond

1. What pets did you have while growing up? Tell us a little something about them.
I had a terrier (Candy) she lived to be 17, sammy the Siamese kity
sheep (buck, nanny, sugar, spice) a black Angus cow named Missy
and of course we can't forget Rocky the Miniature Beagle
Rocky and Sugar were the very best of friends all the way till the end how I loved
watching them play.   Missy thought she was a dog, as the way she followed us around.

We now have:   Harley (F German Shepard) Digger (M Heinz 57) Sandra (F Chihuahua)
Precious (F very petite Kitty)  and Willie (M the Dwarf goat)
SHHH don't tell him hes not a dog

2. What is one thing you absolutely must accomplish today?
laundry, washed dried folded and put away

3. Where were you ten years ago? What were you doing there?
Was living in Shawnee OK, husband at the time worked there

4. September 26th is National Dumpling Day. Did you celebrate? Apple dumpling,
xiaolongbao (steamed Chinese dumpling), chicken and dumplings, pirogi, matzoh balls,
or gnocchi...which dumpling on this list would be your dumpling of choice?
Have you ever made homemade dumplings of any kind?
I love homemade Chicken and dumplings. I make them every chance I get
oh Gnocchi how I love thee, matzoh balls too! Oh geez now I am hungry for Gnocchi
I see Olive Garden in my very Near Future

5. 'There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find an adventure
and those who go secretly hoping they don't.' William Trogdon

So which kind are you?  I am a little bit of both types, love going on adventures, but sometimes,
I get the scared "WHAT IF" feeling

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Defending our flag, I will stand proud with my head bowed and hand over heart
at attention until I can't stand no more. I love my country and very thankful for
those who gave, who lost their lives, past present and future.
If you offend one Veteran you offend them all doesn't matter their rank or branch
they are all brothers and sisters till the end
