I am still alive

To all of my blog friends/family  each of you are very important to me,
today is the first day that I have internet since right after Thanksgiving...and using my phone had to quit as  I got really close to my data :(
what a month December has been and it isn't over yet.

I am not going into details, just say...Monday the 3rd i felt like I was having a nervous breakdown, one of my friends finally came and sat with me and listened to me cry (her name is Kathryn she has been so good to me).   The 10th  one of my friends, was having chest pains problems, then on Wed 12-12-12 was admitted for chest pains...it keeps getting better....my bfff of nearly 30 yrs on the 19th had 5 bypass surgery in OK I wasn't there for her....so the past two weeks have been stressful...didn't get to go to OK and now not sure when as I can't afford to be sick from the change in weather.....it still gets better today I fell in the mud and hurt my knee ;( its not broken but sore from head to toe

love n hugs to you all

something I need to say

Each and every one of you are very important to me...and appreciate
all of the support, some of you have been following me from blog to blog ;)
because stupid people try to mess up my life.

Right now, I am in the biggest turmoil I have ever had in my life, feeling that
I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown, due to the way life has a way
of throwing huge curve balls.  ON top of that I am so stressed out, missing my parents is getting harder and harder.  Gilligan I miss so much (he is the love
of my life) just seems once again...life is in the way from preventing us from
being together.  I am like a lost puppy so to say, thanks to all of you though
through your blogs, I can find smiles again, I appreciate so much all
of them.  I may not get to comment, but do look at everybody whom I am following.

The internet is still slower than dialup they say by this week it will be
up all the way...this is the story since the middle of August.  Having no
internet is getting stressful also, because I can only use the phone so much
for a hotspot (data) if I go over it is very expensive.
also, without the internet I can't do video calls with Gilligan or my family

I always try so hard to stay upbeat/ strong it is getting so hard....in fact
today I wanted just to end everything..I am not going to do anything stupid
I love life too much, its the way I felt.  It is just that I am missing my family
not getting to be there for Thanksgiving and now it looks like the same for
Christmas.....I am going to OK this next week, on top of it missing Gilligan is driving me crazy.

Wow I am really not a rambler but seems this is what I am doing...just trying
to get my mind back to being positive instead of wanting to cry

love n hugs to you all
Gilligan

Family Issues

Hello to all of my friends n family I would like to ask all of you to
remember to say a prayer.  My niece whom I love very much
goes from a bad situation to a worse one.  She was beaten very badly on
Friday night, there was alcohol involved and she was arrested for
public intoxication.  This is sad because she has a 2 1/2 yr old adorable little boy

We are hoping she hasn't turned to drugs, but do know there is a bad alcohol
problem.  I have told the family the only thing we can do is pray and pray
hard.  SO this is why I am turning to my friends n family here.

Please also keep in your prayers that sometime here in the very near future
that I get some reliable internet.  :)  that is the reason I have not posted on the blog.

Thank you all

Gilligan will be here soon!! so pray for his arrival

5. In the US the day after Thanksgiving has been dubbed 'Black Friday'.  Is most of your holiday shopping done live and in person or is done more through the magic of the Internet? How do you feel about stores opening at midnight on Thanksgiving?  Will you be out amongst the masses on Friday?
I do most of my shopping in person, but will NOT be amongst the Black Friday
crowd working retail most of my life....it is so over-rated!!! and yes people
who work retail are seemed to be as non-essential and yes camping out already!! gez that is the most ridiculous thing I have seen....The stores opening at midnight
NO!!! and in my own opinion those working at Wal-Mart if you walk out  you will get a BIG thumbs ^ from me!!!  it is time to bring back the morals of our country.

6. Speaking of the color black-which black item in your wardrobe would you say is your favorite?
Has to be my lil black dress ;) I think we all have that special black dress

hodgepodge 101

YAYY I finally got on the internet :)  ...Every Wed Joyce over here http://joyce-fromthissideofthepond.blogspot.com/ does a really cool hop...you should stop by and see her,  I love reading everybody's blog, but sometimes due to unreliable internet I can't always get back to you right away

Welcome to this week's edition of the Wednesday Hodgepodge.  We're into a new century here so to speak as we've just completed Volume 100.  This is a friendly group and everyone's welcome to play along.

Last time we played I asked for your favorite and least favorite thing about the Hodgepodge.  A few people said they felt if they weren't in the top 15 to link up they didn't get as many visitors as those who linked up early.  I just want to encourage everyone who has the time to stop back by the Hodgepodge later in the day or week to say hi to bloggers further down the list.  Everyone wants to feel like they're part of the neighborhood!

I try my best to eventually get around to everyone, but I do know I dropped the ball on Volume 100 due to the hurricane and our lengthy power outage.

Okay, here are my answers to this week's questions-

1.  What rule of life should never be broken?
I agree with Joyce of " The Golden Rule"  but I also feel that "honour thy parents" should \
never be broken,  my heart is very saddened now days the way kids treat their parents

2. What's your favorite family recipe?
I would have to say potato soup...nothing compares to homeade potato soup

3. Is the media manipulative?
sometimes I feel they can be, but then if I get tired of it...click goes off the tv, radio, etc

4. are you a fan of the Bond films?  If so, who's your favorite Bond?
I do happen to like Bond...I think the best one was Roger Moore

5. What is one thing you hope people never say about you?
that I am not real or genuine

6. What's a nearby tourist attraction you'd like to see, but haven't gotten around to visiting?
Disney Land....I live 5 minutes from it and haven't made it there yet..

7. Where's your favorite tree?
was in my parents yard...it was 2 giant black jack oaks that had grown together to form a
gigormous tree .....the ice storm of 2007 killed it so last spring 2011 they had to have it
taken down as fear of falling on houses :( it was est of being over 100 yrs old

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
in the world we live in, seems nobody is real anylonger...people who think they are
your friends, turn around and stab you in the back, then if that isn't enough they
turn the knife side to side to make it that much worse...
just because I happen to have a tender, caring heart, does not mean everybody
has the right to trudge all over me.  Thank you to all of my friends on the blogger world
who are always here for me....you guys rock!!!!

One more term

Boy, oh boy I was so upset I literally started biting my nails.  But the kicker was how they announced who had won when 10 states (including CA) the poles hadn't even closed yet...wtheck?   then 80,000+ votes didn't get counted?
I even heard that some of the military "were not allowed" to vote this time

All that I can say is our country regardless of who is in office NEEDS MAJOR PRAYER I have had my gospel music playing all day to keep me in check and I am very proud to live in the GREATEST NATION on the EARTH!!!

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above;

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.

Hope everybody has a great Wednesday!!!

Fingerprint Friday

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back here so others can find the entire list of participants!
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky below. Have fun exploring the other links as well!
Please only sign in if you're participating. Hopefully this will make us look at things through fresh eyes throughout the week!
-------------------

Five Question Friday

Today I am linking up with Arlene http://ar-acceptchange.blogspot.com
this is my first time here it looks fun :)

1. Who wakes up in the morning with the kids, you or hubby?
Since I do not have kids (only the fur babies) and not married
I always am the one to take them out

2. Do you watch the World Series even if your team isn't in it?
I do watch the World Series regardless, but have you ever wondered why
it is called the world series (when it is only the us playing?)
3. What is the best compliment you have received?
Being asked I am in the health care profession since I am such a caring person
and I am very patient.

4. Do/did you dress up to take your kids trick or treating?
no because I have no kids and my doggies would hate me if I dressed
them up for trick or treating hehe

5. Do you have a favorite bible verse? What is it and why?
I have lots of favorites...but I would say my all time favorite bible verse
is  Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint"
Why is it my favorite?  as my love for the American Bald Eagle we should all
mount with those mighty wings!!! and also, when we see the Lord face to face we shall run to him and not walk as we will not faint when we see his everlasting beauty.

Fingerprints from God

I usually link up with Becki
over at "The Rusted Chain" for
Fingerprint Friday but do to  circumstances she is no longer
able to do Fingerprint Friday

However, this was one of my
favorite hops and will still continue
to do my pics.

Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
Psalm 144:4-6

while out at the water this afternoon
I found this amazing beauty
saying, please take a pic.

weather is perfect for pictures it
was overcast so the sun didnt blast my pic out,  however, see the person in background?  she has a coat on and shorts, I did that over the weekend
not!!! it is so cold by the water my
goose bumps, had goose bumps
being this is the first fall I have been out here, I learned the hard way!!!
dress warm (lol) seems weird being cold at 65 & 70 because in OK where I am from, that is (Warm) but then OK doesnt have the beach wind.
Now, they say the Santa Anna winds are gonna be here and be even colder oh gez all of my warm clothes are still in OK in the storage shed...please God
do not let it get too cold, as I am unprepared for the cold.

Gilligan and I will be together again very soon!!!

Look what I did ;)

went out to the beach this afternoon
(a bit chilly) and wrote in the sand ;)
this was so much fun,
then came the tide, and took my
writing for a ride, wave after wave
it got dimmer and dimmer finally
washed away.  so till next time
I venture to the water, the waves and
tide will still be doing the same thing
over and over...the tide goes in, the tide goes out.

hope everybody is having a wonderful Wednesday.

thank you

Hello, to all of my followers and to the ones who have left comments,
my internet here isn't very stable, geez I think dial up sometimes is better.
Using my cell phone is ok for the net but having a 6gb data cap, sometimes makes it tough to get on for very lengths of time so I choose not to get onto the net.   However, I do appreciate each and every one of you, and I will be getting caught up.

Wed is usually a good day!! for the net lol.

And for the ones of you who know,   Gilligan will be back with me shortly
I am so excited but will give more details when time is closer.

xoxo

PS  how do you make your own backgrounds/ those are so neat

1.  Noah Webster was born this week back in 1758...besides the online version, do you own a dictionary? Do you ever use the hardback edition or is your search for a definition strictly online these days?
I do still use my hardback dictionary!!! I am do not always have access to the internet.

2.  Should public schools ban Halloween celebrations?  What about other holiday celebrations currently under fire?

I think that schools should let the parents decide if they take celebrations out of school ie at a meeting at the beginning of the school year.  I agree with Joyce about becoming so serious in everything we do

3. What's your favorite 'dog' movie?

I have to say Old Yeller   or Where The Red Fern Grows  I know that is 2 but those are my 2 favs and yes tissues must be on hand for both....if you have never seen either you are missing out on 2 classic movies

4. When were you last somewhere you'd describe as 'too quiet'?

Being that I live alone, it is always quiet at my house.   Going to the library though I would have to say  is quiet

5.  Are you a neat cook or a messy cook?  In other words, do you clean as you go or make a big mess and deal with it later?

Oh, I definitely clean as I go, I do not like clutter or mess no matter how big or small

6. Did you hear about Felix Baumgartner, the skydiver who broke the sound barrier via parachute.  Was your first thought COOL! or was your first thought CRAZY!  Are you adventurous?

I thought it was a little of both I am adventurous to the max, sometimes I still get a little (lot) scared when  I go hiking and such....I have to over ride my brain and say I CAN DO THIS

7.  What's not a word but should be?

Im with you on Gigormous :)

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Live every day like it was your last!!, always remember to say the "I LOVE YOU's as we never know what tomorrow may bring
