where has time gone?

hello to all of my friends n family, where has time gone?  it is so hard to believe I have been blogging for 3 years now :) wow time flies.  (Thru the thick n thin of it all, I have had to change blogs several times  due
to people hacking my blog, and deleting it (TY) people sticking their noses where it doesn't belong
having to delete again...thankfully I am able to blog now on my own without worrying about people hacking my blog.

Three years ago the 14th of this month, the most beautiful angel walked into my life, saved me from life itself,
picked me up and put me on a pedestal, as I had just been to he** n back, those of you who know me know the story.  Today I am ever so grateful for this beautiful creature.  God sure knew what he was doing,
when you walked out on that limb that fateful day.

and here is the song that always keeps me going strong,   thank you for completing my life

wordless Wednesday

Don't think it needs any explanation
but it is a Red Dragonfly, (one of the last pics taken while in CA)  this is the only place I have seen a red dragon fly.

Hope everybody is doing well,
good things are happening, and will be sharing the news in a very short time :)

John 14:16-17
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,
17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees
him nor knows him.  You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Discovering the Hodgepodge

Welcome to this week's edition of the Wednesday Hodgepodge (Volume 129!) So glad you played along today, and if you're visiting for the first time, know that everyone is welcome to join the party.  Answer the questions on your own blog, then add your link at the end of Joyce's post http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/ . Here are my answers~

1.  What do you think makes a good dad?
well, I think a good dad, provides for his family, teaches you the ropes of  life, teaches you principles and value of life.  But on the other hand, they should have a stern hand when needed see video

2.  What's something you learned from your own father?
well lots of things, how to love, discipline, respect,
support (when needed) and that I can do anything I set my mind to

3.  It's your birthday-what kind of cake will we be having?  (Joyce and I have good taste)
German Chocolate mom always makes for me every year on my bday the home fashioned kind, not out of can frosting.

4.  When you're faced with a big decision are you more of a go with your gut type of person, or are you someone who reasons it all out, weighing the pros and cons?
definitely use my gut feelings,  9 x out of 10 it is right.   But when I need to think things over I will weigh out the pros vs cons

5.  June is National Dairy Month. what's your favorite dairy item? Most often purchased dairy item?
Milk definitely .....1 gallon about every other day or every 2 days

6.  Explorer Jacques Cousteau was born on June 11, 1910...what's something you've recently discovered or something you'd like to explore?
I love exploring caves, I think they are so awesome.  Anything that I have never seen before I think even rocks that I find on the road, street etc are cool  I also think that Fossils are really cool, and that I have discovered is I have the gift to gab :)

7.  Are you typical of your generation?
very much so, but not of the new generation (they do not have a clue) worry with my aging parents, coming in contact with old friends, love new technology gidgets n gadgets.  But also, realize that I do not have to have my computer (will not die without fb, blogger etc).  I still go out and help my parents with their garden, mow the lawn for them, anything they need help doing I try my best to help

8.  Insert your own random thought here
this was last nights sun set, always seems to amaze me, there can not be a cloud in the sky and all the sudden a beautiful cloud come and great sunset to boot.  LIFE IS GOOD

Good things are happening, maybe getting my apartment sooner than  I thought...love my parents but need my own place.  I have been looking for a house, as it has been a long time since apartment days, then I realized I lived in a very small apartment for over a year while in cali..it wasn't all that bad.  So this will begin a new adventure moving on the 3rd floor, thank God for family who is willing to help and loan of their trucks.

moms beautiful flowers

these fine beauties were (late) blooming but worth the wait.  I caught them all right after a rain storm, turned out great for the pics.
the top one is a lavender Iris,
2nd is yellow iris notice the green mayfly?
3rd is dark purple (it smells like grape soda) (this is for you Denise)
4 is a variegated rose
5 is a small orangish rose just opening up.

Revelation 22:20
20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely
I am coming soon."  Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
with Today's bible verse hitting close to home, as we are having more "natural disasters in our world today, at one time here in OK on Friday there were 25 twisters on the ground at one time.  Thankfully no damage here only winds heavy rain.  Had an awesome light show however.
I feel so heavily saddened by all of the people who lost everything.  My only wish is that I lived close enough to go and help, but unfortunately I am 150 miles.
Well, my apartment is now opened as the 1st it will be ready by the 15th :) gonna pay half on 14 then other half on 28.  will be so ready to move, not that I don't love and appreciate my parents just sometimes we don't see eye to eye.
In a few short weeks, somebody very special in my life, will be coming for a visit.  I am so excited I can hardly wait, wishes I could turn the clock ahead to July ;)  but this person, does not know that I am going to keep here forever and not let go!!! so any plans of going back home, better get out of head :)  I can't wait to share the exiting news with everybody!!! it will be so wonderful.

Hope everybody has a great rest of week, and if your in storms way this week, please keep safe and keep your eye on the weather, and also might be time to get those storm kits together
