three word wednesday

3WW CCCXLII  This is the first time here but looks fun

As you well know, each week the host post three words. You write something using the words.

Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog, by clicking on the exact post title and paste it to Mr. Linky below). As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.

(And if you want a hint as to when I post three new words, follow me on Twitter @tgabrukiewicz.)

I do invite everyone to check back often to read and comment on other contributions. This is, after all, a community for writers, poets and bloggers who clamor for your feedback. Share with friends. Tweet the love. Let us build this community.

This week's words:

Distraught, adjective: Deeply upset and agitated.

Habitual, adjective: Done or doing constantly or as a habit; regular, usual.

Regulate, verb: Control or maintain the rate or speed of (a machine or process) so that it operates properly; control or supervise (something, especially a company or business activity) by means of rules and regulations; set (a clock or other apparatus) according to an external standard.

Distraught:  my family was distraught with the thought of my great nephew missing, thankfully a nice lady found him.

Habitual: one who can't tell the truth, is a habitual liar!!!

Regulate:  I use my cruise control, to regulate my speed, but also medicines can regulate our health problems.

Zigzagging through the hodgepodge

Zig Zagging Through the Hodgepodge

Welcome to this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge...add your link and join the party!

If you have never joined in the hodge-podge you are missing out.
Here is the host link

1. what's something you've 'mastered' in recent weeks or months?  In March I earned my 4 year pin with Soldiers Angels  (www.soldiersangels.org) if you are interested

2. What song most reminds you of your childhood?  When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder,
my grandmother always played and sang this and Amazing Grace.

3. What do you think of single gender groups and/or events? Should every group/event be open to both genders?  If not, what sort of exceptions do you think are appropriate?
I think both Male/Female as kids thru adult need to mix with each other, however nothing wrong with "mens night out with the guys" or "ladies retreats with your church"

4. What's your favorite spice? Your favorite dish containing your favorite spice?
wow this one is tough, I use a lot of different spices on a daily routine.  I would have to say
Cinnamon.....nothing wrong with cinnamon in apple sauce :)

5.   Chevron patterns are everywhere!  Do you like it or think it's a little too much?  Do you own anything 'chevron'?  I think I have one dress that is Chevron, it is a summer type dress, very comfy to say the least but like Joyce one is enough!!!

6. What's something you disliked as a child, but can fully appreciate now?
hated what we called the "simple life" (it seemed to simple back then) now everybody is in such a hurry hurry up pace we hardly have time to stop n smell the roses.

7. What can irritate you very quickly?
back stabbers  who act as your friend..then the first "dirt" they find on you they stab you in the back.  One who calls you a friend then steals only to get you into trouble not them.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Family =  Father and Mother I love you!!!
our family is only here once, so appreciate what you have today, as tomorrow may be too late.
