365 days of pictures day 158

This is the  Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa  water fountains complete with a koi pond how cool is that.  There is a full service restaurant and lounge.  I could spend a day just watching the fish.  Did I mention it has an indoor pool and sauna?

The bottom photo (a little fuzzy) is the inside of the lobby...up above the 6th floor there is full balcony that you can see for what seems to be miles.

The scenery inside and out is totally breath taking.
It is located near shopping malls, fine dining etc.

SHHH it is a secret so Bob when you read this don't ask questions hehe....But this is where I am going to be taking him when he comes back to OK.

The only difference between a room and a suite...is the suite has a sitting area hmmmm!!! the rooms are awesome I think it is as
big as Bob's apartment hehe.

Hope everybody is having a great Tuesday and that your Christmas was very blessed.

PS  Bob and I are looking forward to what the future has in store for us,  as the saying goes....out with the OLD and in with the NEW.....new year means new things ahead, and forgetting the things of yesterday.

Matthew 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room
and shut the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret.  And your Father who sees in secret
will reward you.

The 13 folds of the US Flag for fallen soldiers

13 folds of the US Flag  <<<CLICK here to watch

Watching a local Christmas special last night, they played this at the end...I learned a lot about what each fold means.  If you have a tender heart, you may need a tissues.  Is too great not to share.

I took the video with my phone so if it appears to be a little shakey

Hope all of you are doing well.

Christmas

Christmas has come and gone once again....WOW did the day ever fly by

There's a New Kid in Town...MERRY CHRISTMAS JESUS!!!!

CHRISTMAS to me

C is for Christ
H is for Heaven
R is for the Radiance of his love
I   is for Israel
S is for our Savior
T is for the tiniest star who guided Mary and Joseph to the manger
M is for Mary the virgin Mother
A is for angels
S is for saying Grace

Knowing that everybody is glad all the rush is over, but shouldn't we celebrate Christmas all year?  I am going to miss the Christmas music playing ...it always puts me in my place...during the year I go to my Christmas list and play when I need an attitude adjustment.

I took these this afternoon on the way home from my brothers and sister n laws they are both with Jesus now, but will always remain in our hearts

This is Grandma Mary She was 4 months shy
of 94 she died of a broken heart.

This is Brandon my nephew he was killed in a
horrible car accident 4 months before his 21st
b-day  this is the reason grandma Mary died
of a broken heart.

Here they are at rest side by side.  I know they were having an awesome celebration today.

RIP both of you, there is never a day that goes by
that I do not think of you.

I heard a bell today and hoping it was one of
you getting your wings.

Bob and I are doing great, although we were not together this Christmas we are looking
very forward to what the future may bring us.

Christmas Blessings

Fingerprint Friday

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back here so others can find the entire list of participants!
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky below. Have fun exploring the other links as well!

13 days of Christmas family traditions day 10

Hope all of you are having a super Blessed week.

my pretty nails painted and yes they are my real nails

I remember as a young child we would all (my 2 brothers and myself) sit on the huge (so it seemed then) hearth at mom n dads so that dad could "try" get that perfect picture, you know though the only thing missing was mom n dad :(

we would do that then mom had a string that went all the way across, we got to put all the Christmas cards on the string one at a time....it was so cool to do that.  Now mom just piles them in a pile I told her last night we should get the string out and put them across the hearth (mom wasn't feeling well last night so we didn't do it)
After hanging Christmas cards on that string for what seemed to be an eternity back then, we all got a special treat (hot chocolate with melted peppermint in it YUM YUM YUM)
Then Dad would always read us a Christmas story (sometimes I think he made them up as he went but hey it was all good and fun)

Hope everybody is having a great week and that your Christmas shopping is complete, if you have to go out shopping  please be careful..its like a zoo out there.

Blessings

365 days of pictures day 155 how cool

This giant Christmas tree is at the car place where I make my car payment.  I was fascinated by the bulb near the bottom of the tree...and took the pic to get the result of the bottom pic...how cool is that taking a pic a bulb and getting your full reflection?

Talk about trick photography.

Hope everybody is doing great and you week is full of many blessings

13 days of Christmas family traditions day 9

Ok someplace I lost a day hmmm anyway on to more exciting news.

Another tradition is that mom and I always make our sweets usually a couple days before  pecan, pumpkin, coconut meringue, and lemon meringue  and yes mom has to have her YUCKY FRUIT CAKE!!! I am sorry I can't stand that.

Mom and I make popcorn strands of garland also...

one thing we always laugh about is seeing who can get their faces the dirtiest when we get finished making the ymmmies we always get to lick the bowl.  I know I am an adult but hey there is nothing  wrong with licking the bowl is there?

Last year this is funny, mom was making a cake and me the pie dough and I threw flour on her (now mom doesn't have a sense of humor) I felt bad afterwards cause she almost started crying but I was only playing...OOPS NEVER HURT MOMS FEELINGS....she didn't return throwing flour on me :(   but lesson learned no kidding when your baking.)  I do admit I am the one with the funny sense of humor thanks to my dad...

Bob and I are doing good sure hate that were not going to be together for Christmas but awaiting what the future holds for us.

Blessings

13 days of Christmas family traditions day 7

I have been collecting ornaments every year from halmark and this was my very first one
Yes star trek enterprise it was so cool, however it got lost in the fire :(
I have lost them all from 92- 2004  My collection now is smaller but getting larger every year.

I have started something new, collecting ornaments with my name on them they are pretty cool  last year I added a very special one to my ornaments :)

This one was my first one from 2009 (the one from 2010 is MIA) for some reason it wasn't with my Christmas stuff....

2010 was the little snowman on a sled but had them both with Bob n Gina :(

2011 addition was bought in MO I couldn't pass them by since we are both in areas where snow is almost mandatory.

Hope  everybody is having a great Monday
It is rainy and cool here (thankfully no blizzard like out in western OK)

Bob and I are doing good and things are looking up.

Blessings

13 days of Christmas family traditions day 4 and 5

My Love for Christmas

I love hanging the stockings on the mantle ( all though my fireplace is closed off, I do still have a mantle).

I love hanging the bells and holly on my door
Kissing under the mistletoe is always a nice romantic treat.
this is an actual picture of mistletoe and berries....which happens to be our state flower, for Oklahoma
Rudolph is still one of my favorite animated Christmas shows :)  I watched it just the other night.
 We can't ever forget frosty
We got to love Charlie brown....I remember my very first tree, OMG it looked almost like this, I actually killed the tree
I like how the Grinch Stole Christmas, hard to say whether I like this version or the animated on..its a close 2nd on both of them.
It's A Wonderful Life *is one of my favorite movies* of all time I could watch it day & night.
Clarence is the best,  I love "everytime a bell rings, an angel gets its wings"
This one is a classic also,  I love the Christmas movies, I wish we had Christmas all year round.

This is the love of my life,

I haven't mentioned Bob in a few days (wow do I feel like a complete hill) honey baby I am so happy that you came into my life and I count my blessings with you everyday.

Hugs n blessings till my next post
