A-Z Blogging Challenge T

T is for  tablier
apron; part of dress resembling an apron

how fun would have been to live in the days like this again?

I remember wearing apron dresses all the time when I was
just a little tot,  seems so long ago.  Life was so simple
then, didn't have a care in the world, only wondering
when mom was going to get finished with my new dress
she was making,  Clothes were all home made.

A-Z photo challenge S

S is for Sabaton
foot-covering as part of suit of armour

do you think of Knights in shining armor when you see this?
is it heavy?
did it do its job of protecting your feet?

We wouldn't have a clue how to even begin to put the
suit of armour on today.

Do you like mid evil time period?

A-Z blogging challenge R

R is for Rabble
rabble is a long  device with a hook on the end
used stirring molten iron into a furnace

talk about a HOT JOB,
I bet those rods get hot, after all
cast-iron gets really hot.

Would you be a fan of doing this job?
or would you pass?  I am thinking
passing sounds great on this job.

I am so glad I didn't have to live in that era
however, I bet there is lot of history.

A-Z Blogging Challenge Q

Q is for Quadriga
a two-wheeled chariot
drawn by four horses harnessed abreast

how cool would it have been to live in the days of chariots?
I am thinking how awesome!!! but then again, I being
a simple minded country girl, would love
going back to horse and buggy days :)
I am thinking that if we started going back to the
simpler days...we wouldn't have to worry with
high gas prices, we only would have to care, feed and
give our horses shelter food and water.

A-Z blogging challenge P

P is for plunder
verb (used with object)
1.
to rob of goods or valuables by open forceas in war, hostile raids,
brigandage, etc.: to plunder atown.
2.
to rob, despoil, or fleece: to plunder the public treasury.
3.
to take wrongfully, as by pillage, robbery, or fraud:
to plunder a piece of property.
verb (used without object)
4.
to take plunder; pillage.
noun
5.
plundering, pillage, or spoliation.
6.
that which is taken in plundering; loot.
7.
anything taken by robbery, theft, or fraud.

Plundering was used a lot during war time, taking prisoners by force,
also people plunder after major storms,
neither is right, plundering needs to be stopped,
but how you ask?    We can't have people standing guard
24/7 or can we?  Back in the greece war Gods, and Jesus' time
there was 24 hr guards, maybe we need to
go back to times like that of the greece, romans, and when Jesus
came to Earth.  Our president, the queen, all have 24/7 body guards
as well.

Oranges come in many shapes and sizes and now we even
have blood oranges I hear they are super
great.

Oranges provide us with Vitamin C which one can not do without
it is good for your immune system, you squeeze them
and get yummy orange juice, I add them to my sweet tea
to have a whole new taste.
Dad when he smoked a pipe years ago used to put
orange peels in his tobacco pouch to keep it fresh.

I use orange scented fa breeze when I can find it.
they make a wonderful potpourri
Orange trees are native to CA and the blooms smell amazing.
